Project Rhino takes a unique approach towards the betterment of both the human and animal communities of South Africa's Eastern Cape, engaging a region comprised of over 30 separate game reserves. Each reserve operates under its own auspices on a daily basis, but in cases of crisis, bands with others as a unit. This model of operation has been proven successful, though it leaves day-to-day anti-poaching operations isolated and costly.

The Rhino Orphanage is the first facility dedicated solely to the safekeeping, care, and love of orphaned baby rhinos. Working closely with trained veterinary professionals and selfless volunteers, the staff at The Rhino Orphanage aims to prepare each rhino as he or she grows for a safe return to their natural environment.
